Esmée Buchet-Deàk as Miranda
Esmée is French-American and was born May 18, 1995, in Paris. She captured James Ivory’s eye and was cast as Gennie de Persand in Le Divorce, the Merchant/Ivory 2003 adaptation of the Diane Johnson novel. As Gennie, she shared the screen with Naomi Watts, Kate Hudson, Leslie Caron, Stockard Channing, Sam Waterston, Thierry Lhermitte and Thomas Lennon. Esmée Buchet-Deàk also played a girl escaping Paris during the exodus in World War II in Les Egarés (“The Strayed”), the André Téchiné 2003 adaptation of Gilles Perrault’s novel, Le Garçon avec les yeux gris.
